Inspired by a favorite city view, the song uses all sorts of sensory details like birds in the sky, colors of the sunset, and the way the air feels to place us in his bliss. The guitar rhythm combines finger picking and a light clap for an R & B sound that sneaks around under forcefully balanced vocals. The song doesn’t remove us from his place, which is the point. While his name conjures a more unbound figure, this tune offers us the counter balance of appreciating each place in time.
“Connect” offers a similar sense of awareness and mindfulness. “Are we bored of space? Are we bored of time?
